Only Girl in the World

Back in January of 2010, I met Gemma T. for the first time. I had discussed the concept I wanted to create with her earlier, babydoll & lost ballerina-ish. A week earlier, I made a tutu from wedding tulle which I stripped and tied to satin ribbon. I spent the week gathering props and other unique pieces for the shoot. By the end of the week, I had a white tutu, 2 purple sparrow ornaments, some red gingham cloth, 2 birdcages and a silver vintage mirror from Empire. I have to say, Empire stock some really unique items, which are all very pricey. I just had to get my hands on those two birdcages, a pink and white one.

The location was at Floreat beach where it was largely unpopulated by nosy beach-goers. The setting was perfect! The weather however, was not. If there was one thing I could have improved about this shoot was the fact that I should have shot on an overcast day.
